S.F from Lake Villa, Lake County, IL was injured when the vehicle he was traveling in was struck on the passenger side. While traveling east on Route 173 he was struck on the right side of his car when the driver of a semi-tractor trailer failed to stop at the intersection of Route 45.
S.F.’s car was pushed into the oncoming lane but fortunately there were no automobiles traveling westbound on Route 173 at that time. The case was settled in 8 months and a secondary lawsuit was filed against the employer’s insurance company which was settled 14 months after the initial settlement.
